The Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS) is a renowned medical institution located in Sevagram, Wardha, Maharashtra, India. It was established in 1969 and is named after the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The institute is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and is recognized by the Medical Council of India.

The idea of establishing a medical college in the rural area of Sevagram was conceived by Dr. Sushila Nayar, a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi.
