Manassas Park is an independent city in the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 17,219. Manassas Park is part of the Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD-WV Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Manassas Park was incorporated as a town in 1957 and became a city in 1975. The city was originally part of Prince William County.

Manassas Park is located at 38°46′24″N 77°27′12″W / 38.77333°N 77.45333°W
. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.5 square miles (6.5 km²), all of it land.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of the 2020 United States Census, there were 17,219 people, 5,172 households, and 4,123 families residing in the city. The population density was 6,887.6 people per square mile (2,658.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 48.2% White, 20.1% African American, 0.6% Native American, 8.2% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 16.8% from other races, and 6.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 32.4% of the population.

Manassas Park operates under a council-manager form of government. The city council is composed of a mayor and six council members, all elected at-large.
Education[edit | edit source]
Manassas Park is served by the Manassas Park City Schools system, which includes Manassas Park Elementary School, Manassas Park Middle School, and Manassas Park High School.
Transportation[edit | edit source]
Manassas Park is served by the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) commuter rail service, which provides transportation to Washington, D.C. and other locations in Northern Virginia.
