Marian Ilitch (born January 7, 1933) is an American businesswoman and co-founder of the popular pizza chain Little Caesars. She was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan.
Early Life and Career[edit | edit source]
Marian Ilitch was born on January 7, 1933, in Dearborn, Michigan. She grew up in a working-class family and developed a strong work ethic from an early age. After completing her education, she began working as a waitress at a local restaurant.
In 1959, Marian married Mike Ilitch, who would later become her business partner. Together, they opened their first pizza restaurant, named "Little Caesars," in Garden City, Michigan, in 1959. The restaurant quickly gained popularity for its affordable and convenient take-out pizzas.
Little Caesars[edit | edit source]
Little Caesars is a global pizza chain that was co-founded by Marian Ilitch and her husband, Mike Ilitch. The chain is known for its "Pizza! Pizza!" slogan and its signature Hot-N-Ready pizzas, which are ready to be picked up without the need for ordering in advance.
Under Marian's leadership, Little Caesars expanded rapidly and became one of the largest pizza chains in the world. The company now has thousands of locations across the United States and in several other countries.
