Mariana Victoria of Spain (31 March 1718 – 15 January 1781) was a Spanish princess who became the Queen of Portugal through her marriage to Joseph I of Portugal. She was born in the Royal Alcazar of Madrid, Spain, to King Philip V of Spain and Queen Elisabeth Farnese.

Mariana Victoria was the eldest daughter of Philip V of Spain and Elisabeth Farnese. She was born into the Bourbon royal family on 31 March 1718 in Madrid, Spain.
Marriage and Reign[edit | edit source]
In 1729, Mariana Victoria married Joseph I of Portugal, becoming the Queen consort of Portugal. The marriage was a strategic alliance between the Spanish and Portuguese royal families. Together, they had one daughter, Maria I of Portugal.
During her time as Queen consort, Mariana Victoria played a significant role in the Portuguese court and was known for her support of the arts and culture.
Later Life and Legacy[edit | edit source]
