Mark Lowe
Mark Lowe is a former professional baseball player who played as a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on June 7, 1983, in Houston, Texas. Lowe is known for his fastball and slider, which he used effectively throughout his career.

Mark Lowe attended Fort Bend Baptist Academy in Sugar Land, Texas, where he excelled in baseball. After high school, he went on to play college baseball at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Seattle Mariners[edit | edit source]
Lowe was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 5th round of the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his MLB debut with the Mariners on July 7, 2006. During his time with the Mariners, Lowe became known for his impressive strikeout rate and his ability to pitch in high-leverage situations.
Texas Rangers[edit | edit source]
In 2010, Lowe was traded to the Texas Rangers as part of a deal that also included Cliff Lee. He played a key role in the Rangers' bullpen and helped the team reach the 2010 World Series.
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim[edit | edit source]
Lowe signed with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2013. However, his time with the Angels was short-lived due to injuries.
Cleveland Indians[edit | edit source]
In 2014, Lowe signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians. He was called up to the majors later that year and contributed to the team's bullpen.
Return to Seattle Mariners[edit | edit source]
Lowe returned to the Mariners in 2015, where he had one of his best seasons, posting a 1.00 ERA in 34 appearances.
Detroit Tigers[edit | edit source]
Lowe signed a two-year contract with the Detroit Tigers in December 2015. However, his performance declined, and he was released by the Tigers in 2017.
Chicago White Sox[edit | edit source]
In 2017, Lowe signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox, but he did not make it back to the majors and was released later that year.

Lowe was known for his fastball, which could reach speeds of up to 98 mph, and his slider, which was his primary strikeout pitch. He also occasionally threw a changeup to keep hitters off balance.
