Martin Maginnis

Martin Maginnis was an American politician who served as a member of the United States House of Representatives. He was born on March 27, 1841, in County Armagh, Ireland. Maginnis immigrated to the United States with his family in 1849, settling in Wisconsin.

Maginnis began his political career in the Democratic Party and was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, representing the state of Montana. He served in Congress from 1885 to 1889 and again from 1893 to 1899.

During his time in office, Maginnis focused on issues related to public lands and natural resources. He was a strong advocate for the development of the western United States and worked to promote policies that would benefit the region.
