Martine McCutcheon

Martine McCutcheon (born 14 May 1976) is an English actress, television personality, and singer. She gained prominence in the early 1990s for her role as Tiffany Mitchell in the BBC soap opera EastEnders and later achieved international fame for her role in the 2003 film Love Actually.

Martine Kimberley Sherrie Ponting was born on 14 May 1976 in Hackney, London, England. She attended the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts where she trained in acting and performing arts.

McCutcheon's first television appearance was in the children's television drama Bluebirds in 1989. She also appeared in the ITV series The Bill and Boon.

EastEnders[edit | edit source]

In 1995, McCutcheon joined the cast of EastEnders as Tiffany Raymond. Her character quickly became a fan favorite, and she remained on the show until 1998. Her departure from the show was marked by a dramatic exit storyline that culminated in her character's death.

After leaving EastEnders, McCutcheon pursued a career in music. Her debut single, "Perfect Moment", was released in 1999 and reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. She released her debut album, You Me & Us, the same year, which was followed by two more albums, Wishing (2000) and Musicality (2002).

In 2003, McCutcheon starred as Natalie in the romantic comedy film Love Actually, which was a critical and commercial success. Her performance was well-received, and she won the Empire Award for Best Newcomer.

McCutcheon has continued to work in television, film, and theatre. She has appeared in various television shows, including Echo Beach and Spooks. She has also performed in stage productions such as My Fair Lady and The Sound of Music.

McCutcheon married singer Jack McManus in 2012. The couple has one child, a son named Rafferty, born in 2015.
