Maxwell House
Maxwell House[edit | edit source]
Maxwell House is a US brand of coffee produced by a like-named division of Kraft Heinz. Introduced in 1892 by wholesale grocer Joel Owsley Cheek, it was named in honor of the Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

Maxwell House coffee was first served to the guests of the Maxwell House Hotel in 1892. The coffee was well-received, and the hotel owner requested that the blend be made the house coffee. The Joel Owsley Cheek and his cousin, John Neal Cheek, established the Nashville Coffee and Manufacturing Company to produce Maxwell House Coffee.

Maxwell House has made several appearances in popular culture. It was the official coffee of the classic television show General Hospital and has been mentioned in various films and TV shows.
