McKinney is a city located in Collin County, Texas, United States. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and is situated approximately 32 miles north of downtown Dallas. With a population of over 200,000 residents, McKinney is one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States.

McKinney was founded in 1848 by William Davis as a small settlement.
