Mechanicsville
Mechanicsville is an unincorporated community in Hanover County, Virginia, United States. It is located just east of the capital city of Richmond.

Mechanicsville has a rich history dating back to the American Civil War. The area was the site of several significant battles, including the Battle of Beaver Dam Creek and the Battle of Cold Harbor. These battles were part of the larger Peninsula Campaign and the Overland Campaign, respectively.

Mechanicsville is situated in the Piedmont region of Virginia, characterized by rolling hills and a mix of forests and farmland. The community is part of the Richmond Metropolitan Statistical Area.
