Medical fetishism
Medical fetishism refers to a number of sexual fetishes involving objects, practices, environments, and situations of a medical or clinical nature. In sexual roleplay, a hospital or medical scene involves the sex partners assuming the roles of doctors, nurses, surgeons and patients to act out specific or general medical fetishes. Medical fetishism may involve sexual attraction to respiratory therapy involving oxygen via nasal cannula or any sort of masks, medical practitioners, medical uniforms, hospital gowns, anaesthesia, intimate examinations (such as rectal examination, gynecological examination, urological examination, andrological examination, rectal temperature-taking), dental examination, enemas, injections, the insertion of suppositories, menstrual cups and prostatic massage; or perhaps the use of anesthetic gases that can also be used for recreational purposes.
Overview[edit | edit source]
Medical fetishism can be an incredibly varied area of fetishism, with many sub-fetishes falling under the medical fetish umbrella. Some individuals may be attracted to the clinical environment and the power dynamics inherent in a medical setting, while others may find specific medical procedures or devices to be the source of their fascination.
Types of Medical Fetishism[edit | edit source]
Clinical Environment[edit | edit source]
Some individuals are attracted to the sterile, controlled environment of a hospital or clinic. This can involve a fascination with the smells, sounds, and sights associated with medical practices.
Medical Uniforms[edit | edit source]
Medical uniforms, such as those worn by nurses or doctors, can be a source of attraction for some individuals. This can involve a fetish for the uniforms themselves, or for the individuals wearing them.
Medical Procedures[edit | edit source]
Certain medical procedures can also be a source of fetishistic fascination. This can include procedures such as injections, enemas, and intimate examinations.
Medical Devices[edit | edit source]
Medical devices, such as stethoscopes, syringes, or speculums, can also be a source of fetishistic interest. These devices can be used in roleplay scenarios, or can be a source of fascination in and of themselves.
