MetroWest is a region located in the eastern part of the state of Massachusetts, United States. It encompasses a group of towns and cities located west of Boston, the state capital. The region is known for its suburban character, high standard of living, and proximity to both urban amenities and natural landscapes.

MetroWest is situated in Middlesex County and Worcester County, covering an area of approximately 500 square miles. It is bordered by the city of Boston to the east, the city of Worcester to the west, and the towns of Northborough and Southborough to the north and south, respectively.

The region is characterized by rolling hills, forests, and numerous lakes and rivers. Some of the prominent natural features include Lake Cochituate, Sudbury Reservoir, and the Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord Rivers.
