Millcreek Township is a township in Erie County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a part of the Erie Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census, the population was 54,573, making it the largest suburb of Erie.

Millcreek Township was settled in 1795 and incorporated in 1803. The township was named for the numerous creeks that flow through the area, including Mill Creek, which runs through the city of Erie.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Millcreek Township is located in the northwestern part of Pennsylvania, bordered to the north by Lake Erie. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 29.5 square miles, of which 29.4 square miles is land and 0.1 square miles is water.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of the 2020 census, there were 54,573 people, 22,000 households, and 14,000 families residing in the township. The population density was approximately 1,855 people per square mile. The racial makeup of the township was predominantly White, with smaller percentages of African American, Asian, and other races.

Millcreek Township is served by the Millcreek Township School District, which includes several elementary schools, middle schools, and McDowell High School.

The economy of Millcreek Township is diverse, with a mix of retail, manufacturing, and service industries. The Millcreek Mall is a major shopping destination in the region.
