Mineral County is a county located in the U.S. state of Montana. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 4,223. Its county seat is Superior. The county was founded in 1914 and named for the mineral resources found within its borders.

Mineral County is located in the western part of Montana, bordered by Idaho to the west and Missoula County to the east. The county has a total area of 1,223 square miles, of which 1,219 square miles is land and 4.1 square miles is water.

As of the 2010 Census, there were 4,223 people, 1,980 households, and 1,275 families residing in the county. The population density was 3.5 inhabitants per square mile.
