Mission BBQ
Mission BBQ is an American barbecue restaurant chain that was founded in 2011. The chain is known for its dedication to serving traditional American barbecue with a side of patriotism.

Mission BBQ was founded by Bill Kraus and Steve Newton in Glen Burnie, Maryland on September 11, 2011. The date was chosen to honor the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Both founders had a background in the food industry and a shared passion for BBQ and patriotism, which became the foundation of their business.
Concept[edit | edit source]
The concept of Mission BBQ is to serve traditional American barbecue in an environment that honors American service members and first responders. Each location plays the National Anthem every day at noon and is decorated with service-related memorabilia. The chain also hosts events and fundraisers to support local service organizations.
Menu[edit | edit source]
The menu at Mission BBQ includes a variety of traditional American barbecue dishes. This includes pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and chicken, as well as a selection of sides such as macaroni and cheese, baked beans, and coleslaw. The chain also offers a variety of regional barbecue sauces for customers to choose from.

Since its founding, Mission BBQ has expanded to over 80 locations across the United States. The chain has plans for continued growth, with a goal of having 100 locations by the end of 2021.
Philanthropy[edit | edit source]
Mission BBQ is known for its commitment to supporting local service organizations. The chain hosts regular fundraisers and events to support local police, fire, military, and first responder organizations. In addition, a portion of the sales from certain menu items is donated to service-related charities.
