- Monticello is a city located in Jones County, Iowa, United States. It is part of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is known for its rich history, vibrant community, and diverse economic base.

- Monticello was platted in 1841, and it was named after the plantation of President Thomas Jefferson. The city was incorporated on April 6, 1868.
