Murat Ülker
Murat Ülker is a prominent Turkish businessman and philanthropist. He is best known as the chairman of Yıldız Holding, one of the largest conglomerates in Turkey, which specializes in food manufacturing.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Murat Ülker was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1959. He is the eldest son of Sabri Ülker, the founder of Yıldız Holding. He completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul before moving to the United States for his higher education. He graduated from the University of Pacific in Stockton, California, with a degree in Business Administration.
Career[edit | edit source]
After completing his education, Murat Ülker returned to Turkey and joined his father's business. He started his career in the family business as a control coordinator in 1984. Over the years, he held various positions within the company, including General Manager of Ülker Chocolate, and eventually became the Chairman of Yıldız Holding in 2000.
Under his leadership, Yıldız Holding has grown significantly, acquiring several international brands such as Godiva Chocolatier, United Biscuits, and DeMet's Candy Company. Today, Yıldız Holding is one of the largest food manufacturers in the world, with over 300 brands in its portfolio.
Philanthropy[edit | edit source]
Murat Ülker is also known for his philanthropic activities. He established the Sabri Ülker Foundation in memory of his father, which focuses on promoting healthy living and nutrition education in Turkey. The foundation also supports scientific research in the field of nutrition and health.

Murat Ülker is married and has two children. He is known for his passion for art and is an avid collector of Turkish and international art.
