Mycosphaerella eumusae is a fungal species belonging to the Mycosphaerellaceae family. It is known for causing Black Sigatoka, a serious leaf spot disease in banana and plantain crops.

The species was first described in 1994 by mycologists Crous and Mourichon. It is classified under the Ascomycota phylum, the largest phylum of the fungi kingdom, which includes species that produce sexual spores in a sac-like structure known as an ascus.

Mycosphaerella eumusae is characterized by its ascospores, which are multi-septate and have a distinct dark brown color. The conidia of the fungus are hyaline and have a smooth texture.
