Myron Mixon is a renowned American celebrity chef and competitor on the barbecue circuit. He is a four-time world barbecue champion and has been dubbed by many as the "winningest man in barbecue." Mixon is also known for his appearances on several television shows, including BBQ Pitmasters, BBQ Rules, and Smokin' with Myron Mixon.

Early Life and Career[edit | edit source]

Myron Mixon was born in Vienna, Georgia, where he was introduced to the world of barbecue at a young age by his father, Jack Mixon. Jack owned a barbecue take-out business, and it was here that Myron learned the art of barbecue. After his father's death, Myron took over the family business and began entering barbecue competitions.

Barbecue Competitions[edit | edit source]

Myron Mixon has won over 200 barbecue competitions, making him one of the most successful competitors in the history of the sport. His victories include four world championships at the Memphis in May competition, which is considered the "Super Bowl of Swine." Mixon's team, Jack's Old South, has also won numerous state and national titles.

In addition to his success on the barbecue circuit, Myron Mixon has also made a name for himself on television. He was a judge on the reality TV show BBQ Pitmasters and starred in his own show, Smokin' with Myron Mixon. He also co-hosted the show BBQ Rules, where he shared his expert tips and tricks for barbecue cooking.
