Nebbi General Hospital

Nebbi General Hospital is a public hospital located in Nebbi District, in the Northern Region of Uganda. It is one of the national referral hospitals in the country, serving as a referral treatment center for the districts of Nebbi, Zombo, and Pakwach.

The hospital is located in the central business district of Nebbi Town, approximately 79 kilometers, by road, south of Arua, the largest city in the West Nile sub-region. The geographical coordinates of Nebbi General Hospital are: 2°28'48.0"N, 31°05'24.0"E.

Nebbi General Hospital is a government-owned hospital, administered by the Uganda Ministry of Health. The hospital provides general medical services, surgery, maternity care, and pediatrics among others. It also serves as a teaching hospital for medical students from various universities and medical schools in the country.

The hospital was established in the 1960s, during the administration of the first President of Uganda, Milton Obote. Over the years, the hospital has undergone several renovations and expansions to improve its capacity and service delivery.
