Neponsit, Queens
Neponsit is a small, affluent neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens. It is located on the western half of the Rockaway Peninsula, bordered by Belle Harbor to the east and Jacob Riis Park to the west. Neponsit is part of Queens Community Board 14.

Neponsit was developed in the early 20th century as a residential community. The name "Neponsit" is derived from the Lenape word meaning "place between waters." The area was originally part of the Rockaway Beach development, which aimed to create a seaside resort community.

Neponsit is situated along the Atlantic Ocean and features a mix of single-family homes, many of which are large and luxurious. The neighborhood is known for its quiet, suburban feel, despite being part of the bustling city of New York.
