Neponsit is a small, affluent neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens. It is located on the western half of the Rockaway Peninsula, bordered by Belle Harbor to the east and Jacob Riis Park to the west. Neponsit is part of Queens Community Board 14.

Neponsit was developed in the early 20th century as a residential community. The name "Neponsit" is derived from the Lenape word meaning "place between waters." The area was originally part of the Rockaway Beach development, which aimed to create a seaside resort community.
