Neuroesthetics is an emerging interdisciplinary field of study that explores the neural bases for the contemplation and creation of a work of art. Neuroesthetics uses neuroscience to explain and understand the aesthetic experiences at the neurological level. This includes the study of both the creation and appreciation of art, as well as the human ability to perceive, interpret, and create art.
