New Hanover Square, Pennsylvania is a unincorporated community located in New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is situated in the southeastern part of the state, and is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

New Hanover Square was established in the early 18th century by German settlers. The community was named after the city of Hanover in Germany, reflecting the origins of many of its early inhabitants. Over the years, New Hanover Square has maintained its small-town charm while experiencing modest growth and development.

Geography[edit | edit source]

New Hanover Square is located in the northeastern part of New Hanover Township, which is in the northwestern part of Montgomery County. The community is surrounded by rolling hills and farmland, with the Swamp Creek flowing nearby.

As an unincorporated community, specific demographic data for New Hanover Square is not collected. However, New Hanover Township as a whole has a population of approximately 11,000 people, according to the United States Census Bureau.

The main roads serving New Hanover Square are Swamp Pike and New Hanover Square Road. The community is also a short drive from U.S. Route 422, which provides access to the larger Philadelphia metropolitan area.
