Newton is a city located in the state of Mississippi, United States. It is part of Newton County and is known for its rich history and southern charm. The city is named after Sir Isaac Newton and was incorporated in 1860.

- Newton is located at 32°19′16″N 89°9′41″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.3 square miles, all land.

- As of the 2010 census, there were 3,373 people, 1,220 households, and 797 families residing in the city. The population density was 462.3 people per square mile.
