Nicole Alexander-Scott
Nicole Alexander-Scott is an American physician and public health official who served as the Director of the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH). She is known for her leadership in public health, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nicole Alexander-Scott was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City. She attended Cornell University, where she earned her undergraduate degree. She then went on to receive her medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University. Alexander-Scott also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Brown University School of Public Health.

Before her tenure at RIDOH, Alexander-Scott worked as a physician specializing in infectious diseases. She served as an attending physician at the Rhode Island Hospital and as an assistant professor of medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
