Nishikant Kamat
Nishikant Kamat was an Indian film director, actor, and screenwriter known for his work in the Marathi and Hindi film industries. He was born on June 17, 1970, in Mumbai, India. Kamat started his career as a director with the Marathi film Dombivali Fast in 2005, which received critical acclaim and established him as a promising filmmaker. Throughout his career, Kamat directed several successful films in both Marathi and Hindi cinema. Some of his notable works include Mumbai Meri Jaan (2008), Drishyam (2015), and Rocky Handsome (2016). His films often explored complex themes and featured intense performances from the cast. Apart from directing, Kamat also ventured into acting and screenwriting. He showcased his versatility by taking on diverse roles in films such as 404: Error Not Found (2011) and Lai Bhaari (2014). As a screenwriter, he contributed to the scripts of several successful projects, demonstrating his storytelling skills. Tragically, Nishikant Kamat passed away on August 17, 2020, leaving behind a legacy of impactful cinema.
