- Niwot is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Boulder County, Colorado, United States. The town is named after Chief Niwot, an Arapaho leader. The population was 4,078 at the 2010 census. The Niwot Historic District, a district reflecting the town's history as a farming community, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

- Niwot is located at 40°6′9″N 105°9′36″W (40.102474, -105.160032). The CDP has a total area of 4.6 square miles (12 km2), all of it land.
