Normand Laprise is a renowned Canadian chef, best known for his significant contributions to the Quebec and Canadian culinary scenes. He is the owner and head chef of the critically acclaimed restaurant, Toqué!, located in Montreal, Quebec.

Born and raised in Kamouraska, Quebec, Laprise developed a deep appreciation for fresh, local ingredients from a young age. He later pursued his passion for cooking by enrolling in the culinary program at the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ).

After graduating from ITHQ, Laprise honed his skills in various kitchens across Europe and North America. He returned to Montreal in 1993 to open his own restaurant, Toqué!, which quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach to Quebecois cuisine.
