Norms Restaurants[edit | edit source]

Norms Restaurants is a chain of diner-style restaurants based in Southern California. Founded in 1949 by used-car salesman Norm Roybark, the restaurants are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

History[edit | edit source]

Norm Roybark opened the first Norms Restaurant in 1949 on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. The restaurant was designed by architects Armet & Davis, who were known for their "Googie" style of architecture, which was popular in Southern California at the time.

Locations[edit | edit source]

As of 2021, there are 20 Norms Restaurants locations throughout Southern California, including in Los Angeles, Orange County, and Riverside County. Each location features the chain's signature Googie architecture.

Menu[edit | edit source]

Norms Restaurants are known for their extensive menu, which includes breakfast items served all day, as well as lunch and dinner options. Some of the most popular items include the Bigger Better Breakfast, the Steak and Eggs, and the Chicken Fried Steak.

Expansion[edit | edit source]

In recent years, Norms Restaurants has been in a period of expansion, with new locations opening in Encino, Inglewood, and Carson. The company has plans to open additional restaurants in the coming years.

Community Involvement[edit | edit source]

Norms Restaurants is deeply involved in the communities it serves. The company regularly participates in charitable events and fundraisers, and has a long-standing partnership with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
