North Kansas City is a city located in Clay County, Missouri, United States. It is a suburb of Kansas City and is situated north of the Missouri River. The city covers a total area of 4.34 square miles, all of which is land. As of the 2010 census, the population of North Kansas City was 4,208.

North Kansas City was founded in 1912 and incorporated as a city in the same year. It was originally developed as an industrial area due to its proximity to the Kansas City Stockyards and the Kansas City business district.
