Nutrient film technique
Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) is a hydroponic system that involves a continuous flow of nutrient solution over the plant roots. This method is popular for its efficiency in water and nutrient use, making it a preferred choice for both commercial and home-based hydroponic growers. The Nutrient Film Technique operates on a simple principle: a shallow stream of water containing all the dissolved nutrients required for plant growth is recirculated past the bare roots of plants in a watertight gully, also known as a channel. Unlike traditional soil cultivation, NFT provides plants with an unlimited supply of water and nutrients, promoting rapid growth and higher yields.

- Nutrient reservoir: A tank that holds the nutrient solution.
