Oakland
Oakland is a city located in the U.S. state of California. It is the largest city and the county seat of Alameda County. Oakland is the third largest city in the San Francisco Bay Area, the eighth-largest city in California, and the 45th-largest city in the U.S.

Oakland's history dates back to the early 19th century. It was incorporated as a city in 1852. The city grew rapidly in the 20th century with its busy port, shipyards, and a thriving automobile manufacturing industry.

Oakland is located in the west coast of the U.S., on the eastern shore of the San Francisco Bay. The city has a total area of 78.0 square miles, of which 55.8 square miles is land and 22.2 square miles is water.
