The Omaha–Council Bluffs metropolitan area, also known as the Omaha–Council Bluffs, NE–IA Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), is a metropolitan area centered on the cities of Omaha, Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa. The area encompasses eight counties in Nebraska and Iowa and is the largest metropolitan area in the state of Nebraska.
