Opimian Society
Opimian Society is a wine appreciation club that was founded in Canada in 1973. It is named after Lucius Opimius, a Roman consul known for his lavish feasts and the exceptional quality of his wine, particularly a vintage from 121 BC that was celebrated in ancient times. The society's mission is to provide its members with opportunities to explore a wide range of wines from around the globe, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of wine culture.
