Orange County is a 2002 American comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Mike White. The film stars Colin Hanks, Jack Black, and Schuyler Fisk. It was produced by Scott Rudin and Albert Berger and distributed by Paramount Pictures.

Plot[edit | edit source]

The story follows Shaun Brumder (Colin Hanks), a high school student from Orange County, California, who dreams of becoming a writer and attending Stanford University. After his guidance counselor mistakenly sends the wrong transcript, Shaun's application is rejected. Determined to correct the error, Shaun embarks on a journey to Stanford, accompanied by his slacker brother Lance (Jack Black) and girlfriend Ashley (Schuyler Fisk).
