The Oregon Graduate Institute (OGI) was a private graduate school in Hillsboro, Oregon, specializing in science and engineering. It was established in 1963 and became part of Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in 2001. OGI was founded in 1963 as the Oregon Graduate Center for Study and Research. It was initially located in Beaverton, Oregon, before moving to its permanent campus in Hillsboro. In 1989, the name was changed to Oregon Graduate Institute of Science & Technology to reflect its broader mission.
In 2001, OGI merged with Oregon Health Sciences University to form Oregon Health & Science University. This merger aimed to combine the strengths of both institutions in research and education, particularly in the fields of biomedical engineering and health informatics.
