Oyster Bay is a town located in Nassau County, on Long Island, in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2020 census, the town had a population of 298,391. The town is named after the Oyster Bay on the north shore of the island.

Oyster Bay was originally part of the Dutch colony of New Netherland. The area was settled by the Dutch in the 17th century and was later taken over by the English. The town was officially established in 1653.

Oyster Bay is located on the eastern part of Nassau County and is bordered by Suffolk County to the east. The town covers a total area of 169.5 square miles, of which 104.4 square miles is land and 65.1 square miles is water.
