PAF Hospitals

PAF Hospitals

PAF Hospitals, short for Pakistan Air Force Hospitals, are secondary and tertiary care hospitals dedicated to providing health facilities to the uniformed and civilian personnel of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). These hospitals are located at various PAF bases and include:

  • PAF Hospital Islamabad
  • PAF Hospital Sargodha
  • PAF Hospital Lahore
  • PAF Hospital Mianwali
  • PAF Hospital, Rafiqui Shorkot
  • PAF Hospital Faisal Base Karachi
  • PAF Hospital Masroor Base Karachi

The doctors and nurses at these hospitals are borrowed from the Army Medical Corps, Army Dental Corps, and Armed Forces Nursing Services of the Pakistan Army. However, the Air Force has also started directly inducting doctors. In order to meet the requirements of medical students and patients, the Pakistan Air Force launched a state-of-the-art 600-bed hospital in Islamabad, known as PAF Hospital Islamabad Unit 2. This hospital provides a wide range of medical services, including medical, surgical, gynecology, urology, cardiology, ENT, eye, radiology, pathology, dermatology, psychiatry, and physiotherapy. Importantly, PAF Hospital Islamabad Unit 2 is open to the general public and not exclusively for uniformed personnel.
