Combined Military Hospital

Combined Military Hospital (CMH) is a type of military hospital that is part of the Pakistan Armed Forces. These hospitals are present in various cities across Pakistan and provide healthcare services to the serving and retired military personnel and their families.

The Combined Military Hospitals were established by the Pakistan Army after the country gained independence in 1947. The first CMH was set up in Rawalpindi, which is now the largest and most well-equipped military hospital in Pakistan.

Services[edit | edit source]

CMHs provide a wide range of medical services, including surgery, medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry, radiology, and pathology. They also offer specialized services such as cardiology, neurology, dermatology, ophthalmology, ENT, and orthopedics.

Training[edit | edit source]

In addition to providing healthcare services, CMHs also serve as training institutes for medical cadets and nursing students. The Army Medical College is affiliated with the CMHs for the purpose of clinical training.
