Patience Gray (31 October 1917 – 10 March 2005) was a British cookery and travel writer. She is best known for her work, Honey from a Weed, which is considered a classic in the field of culinary literature.

Patience Gray was born in Shackleford, Surrey, England. She attended Bedales School and later studied at the London School of Economics.

Gray began her career as a journalist, working for the Observer in London. She later moved to Italy, where she wrote her most famous book, Honey from a Weed. The book is a collection of recipes and observations from her life in the Mediterranean.
