Pedalium murex
Pedalium murex is a plant species in the family Pedaliaceae, native to tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and Asia. It is commonly known as 'Large Caltrops' and has been used in traditional medicine for its various therapeutic properties.

Pedalium murex is a perennial herb that grows up to 1.5 meters in height. The plant has a robust, erect stem with branches covered in dense, yellowish hairs. The leaves are opposite, elliptic to ovate, and have toothed margins. The flowers are yellow and the fruit is a large, spiny capsule.

Pedalium murex is native to tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and Asia. It is commonly found in dry, sandy soils and is often associated with disturbed areas such as roadsides and agricultural fields.

Pedalium murex has been used in traditional medicine for its various therapeutic properties. The plant is known to have diuretic, aphrodisiac, anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic effects.
