Pedro Feliciano
Pedro Feliciano (August 25, 1976 – November 8, 2021) was a Puerto Rican professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) primarily for the New York Mets. Known for his role as a relief pitcher, Feliciano was particularly effective as a left-handed specialist.

Pedro Feliciano was born in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. He attended Jose S. Alegria High School in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, where he began to develop his skills in baseball.

Feliciano was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 31st round of the 1995 Major League Baseball draft. He spent several years in the minor leagues, playing for various teams including the San Antonio Missions and the Albuquerque Dukes.

Feliciano made his MLB debut with the New York Mets on September 4, 2002. Over the course of his career with the Mets, he became known for his durability and effectiveness against left-handed hitters. Feliciano led the league in appearances for three consecutive seasons from 2008 to 2010, earning the nickname "Perpetual Pedro."

After his tenure with the Mets, Feliciano signed with the New York Yankees in 2011 but did not play due to a shoulder injury. He returned to the Mets in 2013 before retiring from professional baseball.
