Pepsi Raw
Pepsi Raw was a soft drink created by PepsiCo. It was marketed as a "natural" cola, containing no artificial ingredients, preservatives, or high-fructose corn syrup. Pepsi Raw was introduced in the United Kingdom in 2008 and was later available in select markets.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
Pepsi Raw was made with natural ingredients, including:
- Sparkling water
- Cane sugar
- Apple extract
- Caramel coloring
- Coffee leaf
- Tartaric acid
- Gum arabic
- Kola nut extract
Marketing and Availability[edit | edit source]
Pepsi Raw was marketed as a healthier alternative to traditional colas. The product was initially launched in the United Kingdom and was later introduced in other markets, including Spain, Finland, and Australia. Despite its initial popularity, Pepsi Raw was discontinued in 2010 due to poor sales performance.
Nutritional Information[edit | edit source]
Pepsi Raw contained fewer calories than regular Pepsi. A 300ml bottle of Pepsi Raw had approximately 90 calories, compared to 120 calories in a similar serving of regular Pepsi.
Discontinuation[edit | edit source]
Pepsi Raw was discontinued in 2010. The product faced challenges in gaining widespread consumer acceptance, and sales did not meet PepsiCo's expectations. The discontinuation was part of a broader strategy by PepsiCo to streamline its product offerings and focus on more successful brands.
