Peripheral nervous disorder - A disorder that affects the peripheral nervous system, which is made up of nerves that connect the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) to the rest of the body. Symptoms can include weakness, numbness, tingling, pain, and other problems with sensation and muscle control.
