Pierre Martin de La Martinière (1634–1690) was a French physician, explorer, and author. He is best known for his travels in the Arctic regions and his detailed accounts of the cultures and natural environments he encountered.

Pierre Martin de La Martinière was born in 1634 in France. Little is known about his early life and education, but he eventually became a physician. His medical background provided him with the skills and knowledge necessary for his later explorations.

La Martinière is most famous for his voyages to the Arctic regions. In 1670, he joined a Dutch expedition to Greenland and Spitsbergen.
