Pixar Pal-A-Round is a Ferris wheel attraction located at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, California. The ride is part of the Pixar Pier section of the park and features characters from various Pixar films.

History[edit | edit source]

Pixar Pal-A-Round originally opened as the Sun Wheel on February 8, 2001, as part of the initial offerings of Disney California Adventure. The attraction was later re-themed and renamed to Mickey's Fun Wheel in 2009. In 2018, as part of the reimagining of Paradise Pier into Pixar Pier, the Ferris wheel was again re-themed and renamed to Pixar Pal-A-Round.

Design and Features[edit | edit source]

The Ferris wheel stands at 150 feet tall and features 24 gondolas. Each gondola is adorned with images of popular Pixar characters, including Woody from Toy Story, Lightning McQueen from Cars, and Joy from Inside Out. The ride offers two types of gondolas: stationary and swinging. The swinging gondolas move along a track within the wheel, providing an additional thrill element.

Operation[edit | edit source]

Pixar Pal-A-Round operates year-round and is a popular attraction for guests of all ages. The ride provides panoramic views of Disney California Adventure and the surrounding area. The attraction is especially popular during the evening when the wheel is illuminated with colorful lights.
