Psych season 1 is the first season of the American television series Psych. The series, created by Steve Franks, premiered on USA Network on July 7, 2006, and concluded on March 2, 2007. The season consists of 15 episodes.

Plot[edit | edit source]

The series follows Shawn Spencer, a young crime consultant for the Santa Barbara Police Department whose "heightened observational skills" and impressive eidetic memory allow him to convince people that he solves cases with psychic abilities. He is often accompanied by his best friend, Burton "Gus" Guster, who reluctantly helps Shawn with his schemes.

Psych was created by Steve Franks, who also serves as an executive producer along with Kelly Kulchak and Chris Henze. The show was produced by Universal Cable Productions.

The first season of Psych received generally positive reviews from critics. The chemistry between the lead actors, James Roday Rodriguez and Dulé Hill, was particularly praised.
