Quality Chemicals Limited
Quality Chemicals Limited (QCL) is a pharmaceutical company based in Uganda. It is involved in the manufacture of antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) and antimalarial drugs. The company was established in 1997 and has since grown to become a significant player in the pharmaceutical industry in Uganda and the East Africa region.

Quality Chemicals Limited was founded in 1997 by Emmanuel Katongole, a Ugandan entrepreneur. The company initially started as a pharmaceutical import business, importing generic drugs from manufacturers in India and China. In 2007, QCL partnered with Cipla, a leading Indian pharmaceutical company, to establish a manufacturing plant in Uganda. This was the first of its kind in the region and marked a significant milestone in the company's history.

Quality Chemicals Limited operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Luzira, a suburb of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. The facility is capable of producing over 6 million tablets of antiretroviral and antimalarial drugs per day. The company's products are distributed in Uganda and exported to other countries in the East Africa region.
