It was initially affiliated with Shivaji University, Kolhapur, and later became a constituent college of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik.

The college campus is spread over a sprawling area of 50 acres and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. It houses various departments, including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, and more. The campus also includes a library, auditorium, hostels for students, staff quarters, and a well-equipped hospital.
