Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) is a higher education institution in Nashik, Maharashtra, India, focusing on medical and health sciences. Established on 3rd June 1998 by the state government, the university aims to ensure proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training, and research in modern medicine and Indian systems of medicine in the state of Maharashtra.

MUHS was established to consolidate and coordinate the standards of medical education, including research, in the field of Health Sciences. Before its establishment, medical colleges in Maharashtra were affiliated with various universities within the state. The formation of MUHS brought all these colleges under a single umbrella, aiming to improve the level of medical education.

The university has numerous affiliated colleges that offer undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs in health sciences. These include courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Occupational Therapy, among others. As of now, MUHS has more than 300 affiliated colleges.
